Farmingdale, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's Softball Team (13-14) lost at SUNY Farmingdale (30-10) by a score of 11-0 in the opening round of the 2008 ECAC Metropolitan Softball Tournament on Wednesday afternoon.

Flushing, NY --- The CUNY Athletic Conference announced the recipiants of the 22nd annual Scholar-Athlete of the Year award, and three Brooklyn College student-athletes were among the honrable mentions. Women's Basketball player Jaclyn Cavalcante (James Madison / Brooklyn, NY) joined Men's Soccer players Ilya Ruhkman (Leon M. Goldstein / Brooklyn, NY) and Natraj Bhushan (Xaverian / Brooklyn, NY) in garnering priase for their scholastic accomplishments.
