Nadine Alexander (Boys and Girls / Brooklyn, NY) won the CUNYAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week award for her performances that led to the Bridges going 3-0 last week.

Alexander recorded a 3-0 singles record and 2-1 doubles mark last week, picking up several important victories. The junior won her #3 singles match against Baruch, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) before earning her first #1 singles victory of the year against St. Joseph's College, 10-1. Her biggest win though came in her #2 doubles flight against Lehman. Trailing 7-2, Alexander and Erika Gil (Fort Hamilton / Brooklyn, NY) made a tremendous comeback, winning 9-8 (8-6) and helping the Bridges secure a 5-4 CUNYAC victory. 

Brooklyn, in the midst of a five Match win streak, travels to Bronxville, NY to take on Sarah Lawrence College today before beginning the CUNYAC Quarterfinals on Tuesday October 20.
