Daisy Bugarin (Mountain View / Los Angeles) took home the CUNYAC Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week award for her performance in the Brooklyn College Invitational on October 11.

Bugarin was the second Bridge runner to complete the race and finished fourth overall, helping BC capture first place in their own invitational. The freshman's 6K time of 27:25 was her fastest of the season, shaving over a minute off of her previous best.

“Daisy is one of our most experienced and most talented cross country runners,” said Head Coach Alex Lang at the beginning of the season. “She should be one of the better runners in the conference this year.”

The Bridges will compete in the Hunter College Invitational this Sunday October 18 before the CUNYAC Championship meet on October 25, where BC will try to repeat as conference champions.
