Men's and Women's Cross Country Look to Repeat as Champs

Both the Men's and Women's Cross Country teams will attempt to repeat as conference champions when the CUNYAC Championship meet takes place on Sunday, October 25.

Both squads have tasted success this year. The Men's team took first place at the Queensborough Invitational, led Tim Mann (Bishop Timon St. Jude / Buffalo, NY) was the first runner to cross the finish line. At the Brooklyn College Invitational, Patrick O'Leary-Gullo (Bishop Ford / Brooklyn, NY) led the pack as the Bridges took fourth. Both Mann and O'Leary-Gullo have won the CUNYAC Runner of the Week award this season, with Mann earning the honor twice.

Meanwhile, the Women have enjoyed similar accomplishments this season, taking first place at the Brooklyn College Invitational. First year runner Daisy Bugarin (Mountain View / Los Angeles) was crowned the conference Rookie of the Week for her performance in that race.

Both meets will be held at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, with the women's 6K starting at 9:30 am, and the men's 8K slated to begin at 10:30. Come support the Bridges as they try to once again capture both Men's and Women's Cross Country titles!
