Women's Tennis to Host CUNYAC Quarterfinal Match

The Women's Tennis team (10-5, 8-1 CUNYAC) earned the number two seed in the CUNYAC Tournament and will play host to a quarterfinal match on Tuesday October 20 at 4:00 pm.  The Bridges will take on the #7 seed, CCNY, a team that BC defeated earlier this season 8-1.

Under first year coach Ahmad Odetalla, the Bridges have already equaled last year's win total and improved on their conference record by two victories.

“We've been playing exceptionally well lately and hopefully we continue to play that way throughout the playoffs,” said Odetalla. “Hopefully, we'll have some hardware as a reward for all the hard work we've put in this season.”

BC recently had its six game win streak snapped, but has won four straight conference matches and ten of the last thirteen contests overall.

The Bridges have benefited from a strong and balanced lineup. Ruth Perez (EBC Bushwich / Brooklyn, NY) and Nadine Alexander (Boys and Girls / Brooklyn, NY) have both been named CUNYAC Player of the Week once this season, while Amalea Sideris (St. Demitrios) has been crowned Conference Rookie of the Week twice.

Come support BC as the Women's Tennis team begins their quest for championship gold!
