Bronx, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Cross Country squad ran without their full squad on Sunday, October 4th, but that did not stop Joanne Mundo (Fort Hamilton / Brooklyn, NY) from running her best race of the season, finishing the 6K race in 27:46, which was good for 7th place.
Mundo's time was able to cut her time from last Sunday's 6K by 1:22 as she earned a medal during Sunday's College of Staten Island Invitational, as BC finished thirteenth in the team scoring.
Leah Wimpfheimer (Brien McMahon / Norwalk, CT) ran a time of 33:04, which was good for 43rd place, while teammate Elizabeth Messina (Laguardia / Brooklyn, NY) finished one second behind her in 44th place.
The team will compete in and host the Brooklyn College Invitational next Sunday at Van Cortlandt Park as the women's race starts at 9:45 am.
