Flushing, NY---Brooklyn College midfielder
Adley Raymond (Erasmus Hall / Brooklyn, NY) was key in Brooklyn's offensive attack in games against conference rivals Staten Island and Baruch last week, and for his efforts, the freshman was named CUNYAC Rookie of the Week.
Raymond was in on both goals in a 3-2, double-overtime loss to CSI as he scored one goal and dished out an assist on the other tally. In a 3-3 tie versus Baruch on Saturday, Raymond scored a key goal in the first half of play, following a rebound of his own shot to give his team a 2-1 lead.
This is the second time this season that a BC newcomer has earned conference rookie of the week honors as
Muhammad Mutawakkil (Ulul-Alab / Nigeria) was recognized by the CUNYAC in September.
Raymond and his BC teammates will take on Lehman College on Wednesday in the Bronx at 4 pm.
