Trish Morris Named Head Men's Volleyball Coach

Brooklyn, NY---Brooklyn College Athletics announced that men's volleyball assistant coach Trish Morris would be promoted to the role of head coach for the 2010 season on Tuesday.  Morris has served as an assistant coach with the women's volleyball team for two seasons under Joanne Riggs in addition to her role as men's volleyball assistant. 

"Trish has been an asset to our program as an assistant, and we expect her to excel in her new role as head coach," said Director of Athletics Bruce Filosa.

Recruited from Australia to play Division I water polo and volleyball, Trish was a four-year starter at Wagner College on Staten Island. A strong offensive player, Trish saw action as both an Outside and Middle Hitter. She was named the Seahawks Most Valuable Player following the 2006 season. Trish graduated with a BS in psychology with minors in music and biology in 2007.

Trish began her coaching career at the Club level, spending three seasons with the New York City Juniors. She has also spent time on the sidelines with the Junior Varsity team at The Brearley School and Borough of Manhattan Community College.
