New York, NY---The Brooklyn College Cheerleaders impressed the crowd and judges at Baruch College on Tuesday evening as they took home their fourth championship in as many years. The team earned a score of 87.6, which was good for first place as Staten Island was the runner up with 85.3 and host school Baruch came in third with 81.6.
Three judges scored out of a possible 100 points with each team's total score being and average of the three. Lehman College scored 80 points to finish 4th and Medgar Evers College rounded out the scoring with 77 points to finish 5th.
Head coach Tonika Simmons, who knew her team was under pressure to perform, said "This is our one shot - one three minute shot." Her team definitely took advantage of their three minutes as they were victorious for the 4th straight year.
