Brooklyn, NY---Brooklyn College celebrated their 15th Annual Athletic Awards Banquet on Thursday, May 14th in the Gold Room of the Student Center. Championships won by the men's basketball, men's cross country, women's cross country and cheerleading squads were highlighted in the day's events.
In addition two-time All-American
Richard Jean-Baptiste was given a plaque in honor of his achievement, along with a ball to commemorate his 1,000th career point.
Director of Athletics
Bruce Filosa, Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Milga Morales and CUNYAC Executive Director Zak Ivkovic each addressed the gathering of student-athletes, coaches and administrators in attendance.
Seniors
Amalea Sideris and Yevgeniy Rukhman were awarded with the Ed Madden Memorial Awards for Courage and Leadership, while David Mayerson and
Ruth Perez received the Tracy Ohrman Memorial Awards for personal strength and perseverence.
Team Most Outstanding Player Awards were also handed out for each team. Here is the list of winners:
