Goldstein Added To Men's Soccer Staff

Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Athletics Office announced on Friday, June 19th, the hiring of Adam Goldstein as an assistant on the men's soccer staff.  Goldstein will be working with first year head coach Rawle Hensford on trying to build on 2008's accomplishment of advancing to the CUNYAC semifinal round.

Adam Goldstein has been an active member of the Brooklyn youth soccer community, holding several elite level and instructional positions since 2001. After a successful run as the Coaching Director for the Brooklyn Patriots Soccer Club, where his academy-style approach helped the club establish the city's largest girls program, Goldstein moved on to develop elite girls players within the youth component of the USL for the Brooklyn Knights. In addition, he recently held the boys and girls varsity coaching positions at Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan where he guided the boys program to two of their most successful seasons. Goldstein hopes to promote the same levels of academic and athletic excellence that his players strived for at Stuyvesant where a wealth of players were PSAL all-academic team and echoes Coach Hensford's ideal that a strong work ethic delivers positive results.

Goldstein is currently a middle school teacher at Middle School 51 in Park Slope with a master's degree in education and an undergraduate degree in History from SUNY Oneonta. Since college, he has been an effective contributor to many of the city area's top amateur clubs as a goalkeeper and currently plays for Oceanside Untied Soccer Club on Long Island where he resides. He holds an NSCAA National Coaching License.
