Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Department of Recreation, Intramurals
and Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the hiring of
Jason Fish as Head Athletic Trainer.
Fish comes to Brooklyn College from Lasell College in Newton, MA, where he served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the past three years (2007-2010). Prior to that, Jason lived on St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands, where he held the position of Head Athletic Trainer at the Caribbean Health and Fitness complex, one of the largest rehabilitation facilities in the Caribbean. His other professional experiences include Head Athletic Trainer at Lynn English High School in Lynn, MA and Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Maine - Presque Isle, while also serving as a Head Athletic Trainer at various summer camps.

Bruce Filosa, Director of Recreation, Intramurals and Intercollegiate Athletics. “Jason brings a plethora of knowledge and experience in the field of athletic training that will be a great asset to our department by promoting the health and well-being of our student-athletes.”
“I am very excited to be here at Brooklyn College,” stated Fish. “I look forward to putting together great athletic training services for our student-athletes in order to help them compete at the highest level possible.”
Fish received his Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill in 1999 and his Master's degree from the New England School of Acupuncture in 2002. He is certified by the Athletic Trainer's Board of Certification, a licensed Athletic Trainer in Massachusetts and New York.
Jason's athletic training philosophy is "a quick return to performance through evidence-based practices, progressive rehabilitation and skilled manual therapy."
