Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving teams will look to make a run at the 2012 City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC)/Applebee's Championships, which will be held at APEX Aquatics Center on the campus of Lehman College beginning on Thursday, February 2nd at 1:00 pm.

The CUNYAC Swimming & Diving Championships will be held over three days, from Thursday, February 2nd until Saturday, February 4th. Events begin at 1:00 pm on both Thursday and Friday and 9:00 am on the final day, Saturday.

On the Women's side, sophomore Valentina Monroy, the reigning CUNYAC Rookie of the Year, will look to be one of Brooklyn's top performers again this year at the championships. Along with Monroy, freshman Jenny Lee has had a stellar first year for the Bulldogs and will also look to compete for major points at the championships. Sophomores Stephanie Caravello, a CUNYAC All-Star a season ago, and Megan Pendergast will also be key factors to BC's success at the championships.

On the Men's side, junior first year member James Marty has been a top performer for Brooklyn all season long and will look to take his success from the regular season to the championships. Veteran seniors Roman Vilnyanskiy and Maksim Kravtsov, junior Patrick O'Leary-Gullo and sophomore Brian Clarke will all look to make major contributions for the Bulldogs at the conference championships.
