Bronx, NY --- Following the events of day one of the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC)/Applebee's Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Championships, the BC Men stand in fourth place, while the BC Women stand in sixth.

On the men's side, the quartet of Patrick O'Leary-Gullo, James Marty, Brian Fay and Maksim Kravtsov took sixth place in the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:47.97.

In the 500-Yard Freestyle, Marty and O'Leary-Gullo each posted a top-10 finish, taking eighth and ninth place with times of 6:15.99 and 6:26.45, respectively.

Kravtsov took fifth place in the 200-Yard IM with a time of 2:36.90, while Fay and Ka Ho Yeung posted top-10 finishes in the 50-Yard Freestyle with times of 28.07 and 28.85, respectively, which were good for ninth and 10th place.

On the women's side, the foursome of Jenny Lee, Megan Pendergast, Stephanie Caravello and Valentina Monroy took fourth place in the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:56.13.

Lee and Pendergast also had a strong showing in the 500-Yard Freestyle with times of 6:40.12 and 6:46.87, respectively, good for eighth and ninth place.

Coming in the 200-Yard IM, Monroy had a fifth place finish with a time of 2:37.42.

The championships resume today with the second day of events at the APEX Aquatic Center on the campus of Lehman College beginning at 1:00 pm.
