Allison Donovan and
Marie Oneto have been honored by the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) coaches; as Konklewski was named a First Team All-Star, while Donovan and Oneto were both named Second Team All-Stars.
Konklewski, a transfer from Suffolk County Community College, made an immediate impact in her first season on the BC Softball team in 2012. The Deer Park, NY native was a mainstay at the leadoff spot in the batting order and in centerfield. She hit a team-best .425 (54-for-127) with three doubles and five triples, to go along with 18 RBI and a team-high 26 runs scored. Konklewski also posted a .528 slugging percentage and a .463 on-base percentage, while going 13-for-16 in stolen base attempts. Within the CUNYAC, Konklewski ranks in the top-five in various categories including batting average, hits, triples, total bases, stolen bases, on-base percentage and slugging percentage. She also ranked in the top-10 in the conference in runs scored.
Donovan, who was named the CUNYAC Rookie of the Year in 2011, had another stellar season in 2012 for the Bulldogs, as she batted .343 (35-for-102) with 10 doubles and a triple, to go along with 17 RBI and 21 runs scored. She also recorded a .461 slugging percentage and a .434 on-base percentage. In the CUNYAC, Donovan ranked in the top-10 in batting average and on-base percentage, and in the top-five in doubles and walks.
Oneto was one of the top pitchers in the conference this season, as she posted a 16-11 record with a 2.48 ERA. She made 29 appearances (26 starts), to go along with 21 complete games, two shutouts, while racking up 164 innings pitched and 110 strikeouts. Within in the CUNYAC, Oneto ranked first in wins, innings pitched, appearances and games started, while raking second in ERA, complete games and opposing batting average, third in strikeouts and fourth in shutouts.
Konklewski, Donovan and Oneto all played vital roles in helping the Bulldogs earn the #4 seed in the CUNYAC Championships this season, as the team advanced to day two of the double elimination round for the first time in program history. Brooklyn would also go on to earn a selection to the 2012 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Metro Championships, as the #6 seed.
