Anthony Sideris Named Brooklyn College Male Student Athlete of the Month
Senior Anthony Sideris, a four-year member of the Brooklyn College Men’s Tennis team, completed his collegiate career with a strong month of April, posting a team high five wins in singles play.
In April, Sideris went 5-4 in singles, splitting time between the #4 (2-1), #5 (2-2) and #6 (1-1) flights. In doubles play, Sideris went 2-8 playing at the #2 (0-2) and #3 (2-6) spots, playing mostly with freshman Tashfeen Afzal.
Sideris had key singles victories against Hunter College (April 4th), Sarah Lawrence College (April 9th), College of Staten Island (April 16th), York College (April 19th) and St. Joseph’s College – Brooklyn (April 22nd).
Along with Afzal, Sideris also picked up doubles wins against York and St. Joseph’s (Brooklyn).
Over his four seasons on the BC Men’s Tennis team, Sideris has posted a career record of 18-12 in singles play and a 17-24 mark in doubles.
For his efforts during the month of April, Anthony Sideris has been named the Brooklyn College Male Student Athlete of the Month.
