BC SAAC Organizes and Hosts Sports Clinic for local Girl Scouts Troop
In March of 2024, the Brooklyn College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) held a sports clinic for a local Girls Scouts troop. The day of fun included coaching and drills with various Brooklyn College sports team coaches and student-athletes including basketball, soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, and softball.

BC SAAC Participates in Dunk Your Kicks

BC SAAC Participates in Walk Now for Autism Speaks
On Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Fountain of the Planets, the Brooklyn College Student-Athlete Advisory Committe (SAAC) participated in the Queens/Manhattan Walk Now for Autism Speaks. There were more than 3,000 attendees at the event. The mission of Austism Speaks is to fund research, increase awareness and family services and advocate for individuals with autism and their families.
"To see everyone show support for family and friends of individuals with autism was very meaningful," said BC SAAC President Ka Yo Yeung, a four-year member of the Brooklyn College Men's Swimming & Diving team.
BC SAAC Participates in Holiday Mail for Heroes
In what has become an annual tradition, the Brooklyn College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) once again participated in the Holiday Mail for Heroes program, which is run through the American Red Cross.
The American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes (HMFH) program empowers people to "Give Something That Means Something" by sending a card of thanks and support to the members of the Armed Forces, veterans and their families.

BC Athletics Participates in Brooklyn College Canned Food and Toy Drive
The Brooklyn College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) recently participated in the Brooklyn College Canned Food and Toy Drive, which ran from October 22nd to November 21st, benefitting needy children and families in the borough.
The BC Student-Athletes from across all 14 sports teamed up to account for more than half of the over 1,000 canned food items that were donated.
