Nicole Francomano Named January Brooklyn College Female Student-Athlete of the Month
Junior tri-captain point guard Nicole Francomano played an instrumental role in helping to lead the Brooklyn College Women’s Basketball team to an 8-2 record in the month of January.
Starting in all 10 games in the month, Francomano averaged 11.3 points, 5.6 assists, 4.8 steals and 4.3 rebounds per game, while logging in 29.9 minutes per contest. She ranked second on the team in scoring for the month, while leading the team in assists, steals and minutes played.
The Staten Island native had her best game of the month in the opening game of the month, as she recorded her first career triple-double with 14 points, 11 assists and 11 steals in a win over conference rival Lehman College on January 4th.
She would have another near triple double on January 22nd, finishing the game with 14 points, nine assists and eight steals in a win against Purchase College.
Francomano scored in double figures in seven of the 10 games, highlighted by an 18-point performance against the College of Staten Island on January 25th.
A Speech Pathology major, Francomano excels off the court as well as she boasts a 3.77 GPA.
For her efforts, Nicole Francomano has been named the Female Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of January.
