Megan Campbell Named Brooklyn College Female Student-Athlete of the Month for December
Senior forward Megan Campbell helped spark the Brooklyn College Women’s Basketball team to a 4-1 record in the month of December, including a perfect 3-0 record against City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) competition, with the Bulldogs’ lone loss coming against then #11 nationally ranked New York University.
For the month, Campbell averaged 16.0 points per game on 49.2% (32-for-65) shooting from the field and 84.2% (16-for-19) shooting from the free throw line, to go along with 9.4 rebounds per game, while logging in 27.4 minutes per contest.
Campbell played a vital role in BC’s come-back win over William Paterson University on December 15th. Trailing by as many as 11 points in the game, Campbell helped carry the Bulldogs with a BC career-high 29 points, to go with 15 rebounds, both game-highs. She hit a pair of free throws with 0.4 seconds left in the game to lift Brooklyn to the 70-68 victory.
Campbell also recorded a double-double in a win over conference rival Lehman College on December 12th with 28 points and 12 rebounds.
The Tobyhanna, PA native also had a double digit rebound performance against NYU on December 2nd with 10 rebounds.
