Jenny Lee Named January Brooklyn College Female Student-Athlete of the Month
Senior Jenny Lee, a four-year member of the Brooklyn College Women’s Swimming team, had a solid month of January, posting seven first place finishes in the nine events she participated in over BC’s three meets in the month.
On January 7th against Lehman College, Lee registered first place finishes in both of her individual events, the 1,000-Yard Freestyle (14:09.60) and the 500-Yard Freestyle (6:48.43). As a member of the 200-Yard Medley Relay, Lee swam the first leg of the relay, the backstroke, to help lead the Bulldogs to a first place finish with a time of 2:14.26.
On January 12th against Baruch College, Lee took first place in the 500-Yard Freestyle (6:43.08), while taking third in the 200-Yard Freestyle (2:31.53). As a member of the 200-Yard Medley Relay, Lee again swam the backstroke as BC took a second place finish with a time of 2:16.31.
Concluding the month against Bard on January 17th, Lee took the top spot in the 400-Yard IM with a time of 5:54.17 and was the first to touch the wall in the 100-Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:13.96. Once again swimming the backstroke in the 400-Yard Medley Relay, Lee helped lead Brooklyn to a first place finish with a time of 5:11.33.
