Freshman runner Khrystyna Uhlitskykh (Fiorello LaGuardia / Brooklyn, NY) has twice been named CUNYAC Women’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week. She has finished in the top ten of every meet that she has participated in, lowering her average time each week. Her best overall time in the 5-K event was recorded at the Queensborough Community College Invitational, where she completed the course in 22:41. Head Coach Alex Lang marvels at the accomplishments of his rookie runner saying, “Khrystyna has been one of the most impressive runners in the conference this season. Even though this is her first season on the team, she has been tremendously consistent in practice and in competition. She can only improve in the coming weeks and seasons.” A pre-med major, and resident of Bensonhurst, Khrystyna also enjoys playing tennis recreationally.
