The Men’s Volleyball Team reached the Quarterfinal Round of CUNYAC Championship Tournament after posting a 4-4 record during the month of March. One of the reasons behind their late-season surge was the play of senior setter David Mayerson. Tallying an impressive 9.2 assists per game, Mayerson was responsible for orchestrating the Bridges’ offensive attack. The senior Physical Education major was also the team’s most prolific server, racking up 22 service aces. When not setting the ball, the North Woodmere, NY could be counted on to spike it over. Mayerson posted 62 kills during the month of March. 

Mayerson played a major roll in the squad’s come-from-behind win at York College on March 11^th. Down 2-0 to the Cardinals, the Bridges fought back to win the third and fourth set. In the deciding set, York took an 11-7 lead that seemed to be comfortable, but a kill by Mayersonstarted a string of four straight Brooklyn points that eventually led to the 17-15 triumph. Mayerson posted an impressive stat line in that match, contributing 13 kills, 41 assists, and 21 digs.
