Junior Maxim Kravtsov had a solid performance for the Men’s Swimming & Diving team for the month of December.
Kravtsov was instrumental in guiding the Bulldogs to their first win of the season back on Saturday, December 4th as Brooklyn bested the College at Old Westbury by a score of 98-71. Kravtsov was a member of the quartet that took home first place in the 200-Yard Medley Relay with a time of 2:07.54. He also posted solid individual performances with a pair of first place finishes in the 200-Yard Individual Medley (2:42.27) and the 1,000-Yard Freestyle (14:00.27).
The win over Old Westbury marked the first victory for the BC Men’s Swimming & Diving program since being reinstated this season after being suspended following the 2003-2004 season.
In Brooklyn’s second and last meet of the month on Wednesday, December 8th, against CUNY Athletic Conference rival the College of Staten Island, Kravtsov recorded two second place finishes in the 200-Yard Individual Medley (2:34.82) and the 500-Yard Freestyle (6:33.48).
For his efforts, Kravtsov has been named the Brooklyn College Male Student-Athlete of the Month, for the month of December 2010.
