Bronxville, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball Team (3-12) played an excellent match versus Sarah Lawrence on Saturday but could not pull out a victory as they fell to the host, 30-26, 26-30, 32-30, 30-26. In the day's second match, BC fell to St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) for the second time this season, losing in three, 30-18, 30-13, 30-19.
In the Sarah Lawrence match, Brooklyn's two middle hitters stepped up as Kerry-Ann Burton (Truman/Bronx, NY) notched 17 kills, 7 digs and 3 solo blocks, while Leidy Guzman (Humanities/Brooklyn, NY) notched 15 kills and a team-high 24 digs.
Guzman led the team with 6 kills and 10 digs versus St. Joseph's. Burton added 5 kills and 7 digs.
Brooklyn will travel to York College on Tuesday, October 16th, as they will take on the Cardinals in a battle for the final spot in the upcoming CUNYAC Tournament.
