New Rochelle, NY---The Brooklyn College Women Improved to 8-4 on the season after knocking off New Rochelle by the score of 7-1 on Thursday night.

Ruth Perez (EBC Bushwick/Brooklyn, NY) knocked off Christine Locke 7-5, 6-3 at #1 singles, while her doubles parter Alina Binder (Flatbush Yeshiva/Brooklyn, NY) defeated Camille Lachica 6-1, 7-5 (7-5) at #2 singles.

Nadine Alexander (Boys & Girls/Brooklyn, NY) and Svetlana Khvatikova (Youth DARES/Brooklyn, NY) each shutout their singles opponents in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.

Suzana Sula (St. Saviour/Staten Island, NY) had a tougher time with her opponent, Siddiqua Hosein, but was able to earn the 6-4, 7-5 decision.

Brooklyn will return home on Friday to host conference opponent CCNY at 4 pm.
