Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball Squad (2-7, 1-4 CUNYAC) played three tough games versus Staten Island, but could not get a victory as they dropped a home match Tuesday, 30-27, 30-23, 30-26 (6-8, 3-2 CUNYAC).

Maylin Mejia (Curtis/Staten Island, NY) led Staten Island with 3 kills, while Alba Basha (Curtis/Albania) led the way defensively with 12 digs.

Brooklyn was led by Leidy Guzman (Humanities/Brooklyn, NY) who had team-highs with 7 kills, 10 service aces and 11 digs.

Daphne Brunet (Willi-Graf/Brooklyn, NY) also had 7 kills for BC.

The team will remain at home as they battle non-conference opponent Purchase College on Thursday at 7:00 pm.
