The team won every match but two as Ruth Perez (EBC Bushwick/Brooklyn, NY) and Alina Binder (Yeshiva of Flatbush/Brooklyn, NY) fell to Lehman's #1 duo of Evuavna Neville (Yonkers/Yonkers, NY) and Aurora Peters (Jamaica/Hollis, NY) in a tiebreaker, 8-8 (7-5).
In #3 singles, the match between BC's Joy Rotstein (Ezra Acedemy/Brooklyn, NY) and Peters of Lehman was postponed due to darkness.
Brooklyn took each of the remaining seven matches with relative ease.
Perez defeated Neville in #1 singles, 6-1, 6-2. Not to be outdone, Binder won her #2 singles match, 6-0, 6-0 over Jennifer Merkel (Central Islip/Bronx, NY).
Katarzyna Steckiewicz (Jadwiga Borzecka/Brooklyn, NY) won the day's most highly contested singles match, 7-5, 6-2 in #4 singles.
Suzana Sula (St. Saviour/Staten Island, NY) won easily at #5 singles, blanking Miriam Nkrumah (Lehman/Bronx, NY), 6-0, 6-0.
Suzanna Klichinsky (Abraham Lincoln/Brooklyn, NY), playing in her first collegiate match, defeated Lehman's Chanda Em (Human Services/Bronx, NY) 6-1, 6-2.
Klichinsky and Rotstein teamed up at #2 doubles to down Merkel and Em, 9-7, while in #3 doubles action, Elina Shkolnik (Edward R. Murrow/Brooklyn, NY) and Olga Tratsevitskaya (James Madison) defeated Nkrumah and Smith, 8-3.
The first place Bridges return to action on Tuesday, September 25 as they host CUNYAC rival Staten Island.
