Hackettstown, NJ---The Brooklyn College Men's Soccer Team took their act on the road, opening up their 2007 season in Hackettstown, New Jersey as they took on host, Centenary College.
The Cyclones (2-2) got on the board first when Ryan Bilello (West Hempstead/West Hempstead, NY) dribbled through defenders to give Centenary a 1-0 lead. BC came right back to tie the game at one as All-CUNYAC forward Elis Llagami (FDR/Brooklyn, NY) took on a defender near the goal line and found Vasilios Mantagas (James Madison/Brooklyn, NY) in the middle of the box for the goal. Centenary got goals from Chris Hill (Gill St. Bernard's/Flanders, NJ) and Justin DeFeo (Hawthorne/Hawthorne, NJ) before the half to enter the break with a 3-1 lead.
The second half would see more of the same as Hill tacked on his second goal of the afternoon and Chris Guadagno (West Milford/West Milford, NJ) scored the Cyclones fifth goal of the game, ending the scoring at 5-1.
Brooklyn College (0-1) will travel to SUNY Maritime on Monday in another non-conference game, before returning home on Wednesday to battle conference rival College of Staten Island. The home opener will be played at the Brooklyn Parade Grounds at 4:30 pm.
