Bridges Return to Winning Ways, Defeating Sarah Lawrence College

Bronxville, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball Team (7-10, 2-5 CUNYAC) defeated Sarah Lawrence College in straight sets in a non-conference game on Tuesday evening.  The Bridges won by scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-21.

The Bridges had a solid night at the service line, recording 14 aces.  Half of those came from freshman Ama Thomas (Martin Luther / Brooklyn, NY), who set a career-high with seven aces.  Classmate Iris Clopton-Robinson (Monticello / Monticello, NY) chipped in with three aces and four defensive digs.

Kerry-Ann Burton (Harry S Truman / Bronx, NY) totalled six kills to go along with a pair of solo blocks.  Yamalete Rosa (Abraham Lincoln / Brooklyn, NY) paced the team with 11 defensive digs, while Ezgi Ozdemir (Abraham Lincoln / Brooklyn, NY) led all participants with 19 assists.

The Bridges enjoy a week off before taking to the court again.  BC will host Hunter College on Tuesday, October 21st in a CUNYAC match, set to begin at 7:00 pm.  The match will take place in the 211 Roosevelt Extention Gymnasium.
