Men's Tennis Drops First Match To Rutgers Newark

Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Men's Tennis Team (3-1) lost their first match of the season on Saturday, dropping an 8-1 decision to Rutgers Newark.  The team was short-handed as they played without four of their top five players.

Ben Forberg (Marymount, Italy/Brookyn, NY) was the match's lone bright spot for BC as he won his #1 singles match, defeating Lam Nguyen (Jonathan Dayton/Springfield, NJ), 6-3, 6-3.

Rutgers' Priyen Patel (Roselle Park/Edison, NJ) defeated Brooklyn's Arvind Badhey (Syosset/Syosset, NY) in the most contested match of the day, 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 at #3 singles.

Brooklyn will remain home as they host SUNY Purchase on Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
