New York, NY---The Brooklyn College Softball Squad (0-4, 0-1 CUNYAC) dropped a 9-1 decision to Hunter College (4-9, 2-0 CUNYAC) on Friday afternoon.

Jaime Bellittini (Franklin K. Lane/Glendale, NY) was not in full command as she walked 5 but did strike out 4.  Bellettini helped her own cause in the top of the 6th as she smacked an RBI double to pull her team to striking distance at 5-1.

The double drove in Nataly Yehezkel (James Madison/Brooklyn, NY) who scored her 3rd run of the season.

The offense could not muster any more scoring though, and Hunter added 3 runs on a Catherine Alves (Francis Lewis/Queens, NY) base-clearing triple in the bottom of the inning to take the 9-1 decision.

Danielle Kramer (Bishop Ford/Brooklyn, NY) saw her first action of the young season and was 1 for 2 while getting the start at third base.

Brooklyn will head home on Monday as they host New Rochelle in a doubleheader scheduled for 4 pm at Roosevelt Field.
