Ferrara's Slam Not Enough As Softball Drops Two To John Jay

Game 1 Box Score

Game 2 Box Score

Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Softball Team (5-8, 3-4 CUNYAC) could not push their conference record over .500 on Thursday evening as they dropped a pair to John Jay (6-13, 2-4 CUNYAC), 15-5, 13-3.

In game one, Jenna Ferrarra (James Madison/Brooklyn, NY) supplied the majority of BC's offense as she blasted a 3rd inning grand slam over the left-centerfield wall to put her team on the board.

John Jay's offense proved to be to much for Brooklyn to handle as they posted a combined 28 runs in the doubleheader.  Alyce Miraglia (stella Maris/Lindenwood, NY) was the igniter, as the lead-off hitter was 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored in game one and reached safely in three of her four at-bats in game two.

Brooklyn will try to get back on track on Friday as the team will host Lehman at Floyd Bennett Field.  The conference match-up will only consist of a single game, scheduled for 4:00 pm.
