Baruch hands Brooklyn Their First Conference Loss

Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Men's Tennis Squad (7-2, 5-1 CUNYAC) could not overcome Baruch (9-2, 4-0 CUNYAC) in a battle for first place on Friday afternoon as they fell 6-3.

Metin Noorata (Abraham Lincoln/Brooklyn, NY) and Johnny Rolando (Abraham Lincoln/Brooklyn, NY) emerged from a 7-1 deficit in their #3 doubles match to claim a 9-7 victory and pull Brooklyn to within a 2-1 score headed into singles play.

Brooklyn could only get wins at #3 and #5 as Morris Dweck (Yeshiva of Flatbush/Brooklyn, NY) and Rolando defeated their counterparts.  Rolando came back from down a set to win in three, 2-6, 6-1, 7-5.

Brooklyn will remain home on Monday, April 14th as they battle non-conference opponent Polytechic at 6 pm.
