Yehezkel's 2 RBI Single In Seventh Defeats Lehman 5-4

Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Softball Team (6-8, 4-4 CUNYAC) got their best win of the season on Friday afternoon as they came from behind in the bottom of the seventh to defeat Lehman College (0-14, 0-5 CUNYAC) 5-4.

Nataly Yehezkel (James Madison/Brooklyn, NY) was the game's hero as she came through with a 2-RBI, walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh to give her team the victory.  Yehezkel came to the plate with one out and runners on second and third.  Her opposite field knock landed just out of the reach of the Lehman shortstop, Crissette Maxell (Fashion Industries/Bronx, NY).

Jaime Bellettini (Franklin K. Lane/Glendale, NY) pitched a complete game, striking out nine to get the win.  Bellettini also reached base three times on base on balls.

Jenna Ferrara (James Madison / Brooklyn, NY) finished the day 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.  She scored the winning run on Yehezkel's base knock. Leadoff hitter Christina McDonnell (Staten Island Tech / Staten Island, NY) reached base three times and scored twice.

Brooklyn will enjoy a three day break before they resume play versus City Tech on Tuesday at Floyd Bennett Field.  The team will first complete the game that was postponed on April 4th, before they play the regularly scheduled doubleheader.  The festivities will begin at 4 pm.
