Brooklyn, NY---In a softball rarity, Brooklyn (10-9, 6-4 CUNYAC) defeated York (2-10, 2-5 CUNYAC) three times on Saturday afternoon at Floyd Bennett Field.

The first game, a continuation of the April 2nd game that was postponed due to darkness, was continued from the top of the 4th inning and Brooklyn wasted no time in taking a 21-7 decision.

The regularly scheduled doubleheader, were played as non-league games as the two teams already battled twice in CUNYAC competition, and Brooklyn swept, taking a 15-3 final in game one and an 8-0 victory in game two.

Nicole Bianco (FDR/Brooklyn, NY) was the hero on the day as she took wins in the continued first game and in the second game of the regularly scheduled double-dip.  Bianco's latter performance was impressive as she struck out 5 and only yielded 3 hits while hurling her 2nd shutout of the season.

Jaime Bellettini (Franklin K. Lane/Glendale, NY) had one of the most impressive offensive performances of the season, going 7 for 7 with 6 doubles, 7 runs batted in and 8 runs scored in today's play.

The Brooklyn softball squad will be at Floyd Bennett next week to take on Polytechnic.  While the original date of the doubleheader is Thursday, April 24th, the games may be moved to Wednesday, April 23rd.  Please check www.brooklyncollegeathletics.com for updates.
