New Paltz, NY---Richard Jean-Baptiste (St. John's Prep / Queens, NY) scored his 1,000th point with 1:58 remaining as he helped the Brooklyn College Men's Basketball Team (13-3) earn a 70-50 road win over SUNY New Paltz (7-9) on Monday afternoon.

Jean-Baptiste led all scorers with 18 points in only 21 minutes of play.  Thomas Guerin (St. Edmund Prep / Brooklyn, NY) chipped in with 12 points, five assists and five steals. 

The win is the team's 7th straight and fifth consecutive of 20 points or more.  The team will next be in action on Wednesday as they resume conference play, traveling to CCNY to take on the Beavers at 7:00 pm.
