Staten Island, NY---The Brooklyn College Men's Basketball Team (19-4, 11-1 CUNYAC) clinched first place in the CUNYAC South Division on Wednesday night as they knocked off division foe Staten Island (6-17, 3-9 CUNYAC) in overtime by a score of 80-77.
Both
Richard Jean-Baptiste (St. John's Prep / Queens, NY) and
Ahmad Hemingway (Curtis / Brooklyn, NY) scored team-highs with 22 points a piece.
Freshman Jordan Young (Hall / Asbury Park, NJ) led CSI with 26 points.
With the win, BC not only clinches the South Division title, but also clinches the #2 seed going into the upcoming CUNYAC Tournament.
The team returns home on Saturday as they host York College in a huge South Division rivalry on senior day for the team. The game will tip-off at 3 pm.
