Women's Basketball Turned Back By Staten Island

Staten Island, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball Team (16-7, 8-4 CUNYAC) came back from a 15 point deficit on Wednesday evening to cut the Staten Island (18-5, 11-1 CUNYAC) lead to 2 points, however they could not complete comeback as they fell, 69-55.

BC was led by Priscilla Ramirez (FDR / Brooklyn, NY) who scored 21 points, pulled down 7 boards and nabbed 5 steals in the loss.

Staten Island's leading scorer was Allie Shanahan (St. John Villa / Staten Island, NY), who notched 16 points and 4 assists on the evening.

Brooklyn siezed a huge rebounding advantage in the game, edging out CSI by a margin of 57-38.  Two big reasons were Justine O'Callahan (Floral Park, Floral Park, NY) and Amalea Sideris (St. Demetrios / Astoria, NY) who grabbed 11 boards a piece.

Next up for the team is a home game on Valentine's Day as York heads into the Roosevelt Gymnasium for a 12:30 pm start.  The game will be the final regular season game and the team's Senior Day.
