The Women's Volleyball team (1-4, 1-1 CUNYAC) dropped a tough non-conference match to the College of New Rochelle Blue Angels (1-1), 25-20, 27-25 and 26-24. Brooklyn College was led on offense by Daphne Brunet (Willi-Graf / Brooklyn, NY), who recorded five kills and one block, while Lisenia Rodriguez (New Utrecth / Brooklyn, NY) tallied ten assists.

Although the College of New Rochelle took the first set 25-20, it was a back and forth affair throughout, setting the tone for sets two and three. In the second, the Bridges had three match points, up 24-22 and then 25-24. However, the Blue Angels were able to fend off BC and take the set 27-25.

The third proved to be just as much of a nail-biter, and the lead exchanged hands several times. Down 24-23, Brooklyn College was able to save match point. However, the College of New Rochelle, led by Elizabeth Johnston's nine kills and one block, proved too much for the Bridges, and took the third set 26-24.

The Bridges next take on conference foe Medgar Evers College on September 22 at 7:00 at home.
