Maspeth, NY---The Brooklyn College Men's Soccer Team (2-5-1, 0-2-1 CUNYAC) earned its first tie of the season on Saturday, as they knotted scores with John Jay College (1-6-2, 0-1-2 CUNYAC), 1-1.

John Jay took a 1-0 lead into the half as they got an early goal from Omar Herrera (Art & Business / Elmhurst, NY).

BC was held scoreless in the half, but then forward Ruslan Abashev (Neshaming / Feasterville, Pa) scored early in the second half to end the game's scoring, tying the score at one.

The team will travel to Staten Island on Wednesday as they will take on CSI at 4:00 pm.
