Bronxville, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball Team (3-5) got back-to-back wins on Saturday as they defeated St. Joseph's College Brooklyn 13-25, 25-13, 25-17,18-25, 15-12 then knocked off host  Sarah Lawrenece,14-25, 25-23, 16-25, 25-21, 15-11.

Junior Gabrielle Rodriguez (Nazareth / Brooklyn, NY) had a career day, putting away a combined 20 kills in the two wins.

Senior middle blocker Daphne Brunet (Willi-Graf / Brooklyn, NY) had 11 kills, 3 solo blocks, 5 block assists, 7 aces and 8 digs on the day.  

Freshman setter Lisenia Rodriguez (New Utrecht / Brooklyn, NY) combined for 42 assists, 5 aces and 2 digs while junior OH Jaqueline Szpunt (Edward R. Murrow / Brooklyn, NY) had a personal best 12 kills and 16 digs. 

"The team really came together today," said Head Coach Joanne Riggs.  "All week we have been working on our confidence and approached today's matches with the intent to leave it all on the court."

The team will hit the road on Tuesday as they travel into Manhattan to battle CUNYAC opponent Baruch College at 6pm.
