Staten Island, NY---The Brooklyn College Men's Soccer Team (2-6-2, 0-3-1 CUNYAC) lost a heartbreaker on Wednesday evening, falling to Staten Island (3-9, 2-2 CUNYAC), 3-2 in double overtime.
In what was an evenly played game, CSI freshman Lirim Begai (Susan Wagner / Staten Island, NY) scored in the 101st minute, his second goal of the game, to clinch the victory.
Brooklyn got off to a good start to the game as they scored first at the 24 minute mark of the first half. Adley Raymond (Erasmus Hall / Brooklyn, NY) received a cross from Duane Heaven (Prospect Heights / Brooklyn, NY) and converted from short-range.
Raymond got the assist on BC's second goal of the game as he set up Mack Diller (Brooklyn Technical / Brooklyn, NY) in the second half to give his team a 2-1 edge, however an Andriy Sudak (James Madison / Brooklyn, NY) goal with 13 minutes left to play tied the game at two, sending it into overtime.
Igor Kozlov (Elite / Amsterdam, Netherlands) had a couple of chances in the overtime period but could not convert.
BC will hope to get back in the win column when they face Baruch on Saturday at 12pm back at the College of Staten Island.
