Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball Team (9-8, 5-3 CUNYAC) dropped their third straight on Saturday as they fell to the conference's top team Baruch College (14-4, 7-0 CUNYAC), 79-65.
The contest was more highly contested than what the final score would indicate as the team's went back and forth with the lead changing hands seven times. Brooklyn was up three, 31-28, with 3:35 remaining in the first half. However, Baruch closed on an 8-4 run, taking a 36-35 at the break.
The second half saw more back and forth action as Brooklyn opened the half on a 4-0 run and held the lead for the next seven minutes of play. With the score in Brooklyn's favor at 48-47, a couple of offensive rebounds and baskets helped spur Baruch on to a 9-0 run, giving them an eight point advantage.

Priscilla Ramirez (FDR / Brooklyn, NY) answered with a three-pointer to cut the lead to five, 56-51, however the damage was done as the next few minutes saw the teams trade baskets.
A three-pointer by Lorin Clarke (Bishop Ford / Brooklyn, NY) extended Baruch's lead to 10 with just over seven minutes remaining, and although Brooklyn was able to cut the lead to nine twice in the final minutes of the game, they would be forced to foul and would get no closer, dropping the 14-point decision.
Ramirez was the game's top scorer, dropping in 20 points, while knocking down four shots from long distance.
Justine O'Callahan (Floral Park / Floral Park, NY) had another big game, notching a double-double with 15 points and 10 boards.
Megan Bouwens (White Lake, White Lake, MI) led Baruch with 17 points and nine rebounds.
Brooklyn will remain at home on Tuesday, when they will host non-conference opponent Stevens Tech at 7:00 pm.
