Brooklyn, NY ---The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball Team (10-8) used a
Priscilla Ramirez (FDR / Brooklyn, NY) shot as time expired in regulation to tie the game at 68, and then the Bulldogs proceeded to outscore Stevens in overtime, 11-0, defeating the Ducks, 79-68.
Down 66-57 with 1:41 remaining, Brooklyn cut the lead to 66-64 with 39 seconds remaining, however Ramirez missed a jumper that would have tied the game and then a lay-up Stevens' Jill Barrett stretched the lead to 4 with 21 seconds left to play.

Ariel Smith (Wallkill / Newburgh, NY) pushed the ball quickly to find
Amber Gordon (Bishop Loughlin / Brooklyn, NY) who missed the three, and then Ramirez, who gathered the offensive rebound, missed a jumper, but
Frances Lyons (James Madison / Brooklyn, NY) was there to gather the rebound, scoring the basket and drawing the foul with 8 seconds remaining.
Lyons missed the free throw, and Stevens Sarah Gehring was fouled immediately by Ramirez. Gehring missed the front end of the one and one and Smith again pushed the ball but a kick ball was called as she tried to get it to Gordon, giving BC possession on the baseline with .5 remaining on the clock.
Ramirez found an opening at elbow and buried the shot as time expired.
Brooklyn went on to dominate the overtime period, holding Stevens scoreless.
Sabrina Washington (Elmira Free / Elmira, NY) knocked down a 3 to start the scoring in the period. Washington and Gordon carried the load in the overtime period as Ramirez fouled out of the game as the combo combined for all 11 overtime points.
Gordon, who finished with 18, had 10 points in the game's final 6 minutes of play, had a game-high with 4 steals and was 6 for 6 from the free throw line.
Smith, who set the tempo for BC, was huge, scoring 17 points while grabbing 11 boards and dishing out 7 assists.
Ramirez finished with 17 points, while Lyons earned another double-double, notcihing 12 points and 11 rebounds.
BC will hit the road on Saturday as they travel to Lehman to take on the Lightning in a CUNYAC tilt beginning at 12 pm.
