Women’s Swimming Falls to CSI, 103-82

Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's Swimming & Diving team fell to the visiting Dolphins of the College of Staten Island in a CUNY Athletic Conference meet, by a score of 103-82 earlier tonight at the West Quad Center Pool. With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 3-6 overall on the season, 1-4 in the CUNYAC; while the Dolphins improve to 2-4 overall and 2-1 in the CUNYAC.

Brooklyn got on the board early taking first place in the opening event of the evening, as the quartet of Megan Pendergast, Lucie O'Donnell, Valentina Monroy and Marisa Paolillo blazed the 200-Yard Medley Relay with a time of 2:12.79.

O'Donnell and Paolillo also excelled in their individual events, as O'Donnell took home both the 200-Yard Individual Medley (2:33.28) and the 500-Yard Freestyle (6:27.25), while Paolillo won both the 50 (29.02) and the 100-Yard Freestyle (1:05.46).

Monroy posted a first place finish in the 200-Yard Freestyle (2:18.33).

The Bulldogs will be off until January 18th, when Brooklyn will start the 2011 portion of its schedule on the road against the Bloodhounds of John Jay College of Criminal Justice in CUNYAC action. The meet is scheduled for a 6:00 start time.
