Bulldogs Cruise Past St. Joseph's Brooklyn 95-77

Brooklyn , NY --- The Brooklyn College men's basketball team (17-5, 10-1 CUNYAC) defeated the St. Josephs' College Brooklyn Bears (7-14, 5-0 HVMAC) tonight at the West Quad Gymnasium by a score of 95-77.

Richard Jean-Baptise (St. John's Prep / Queens, NY) and Darnell Cudjoe (Murray Bergtraum / Brooklyn, NY) both finished with double-doubles. Jean-Baptiste scored 24 points, leaving him 24 shy of the all-time school scoring record, and recorded 11 rebounds on the night, while Cudjoe dropped 11 points and led the team with 18 boards. Thomas Guerin (St. Edmund Prep / Brooklyn, NY) just added 14 points and nine assists. Daniel Nisbett (Michael J. Petrides / Staten Island, NY) added 19 points and Tyshawn Russell (Holy Cross / Jamaica, NY) dropped 11 points.

Jon Matzelle (St. Francis Prep / Maspeth, NY) led the Bears in both points and rebounds, with 20 points and 19 caroms.

Up next for the Bulldogs, is a doubleheader against CSI on Wednesday, Febraury 10 at the West Quad Gymnasium. The women's game is at 5:30 pm with the men to follow at 7:30 pm.
