Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball Team (5-0) continued their outstanding play this season, defeating borough rival St. Joseph's College (1-4), 25-20, 25-16, 25-22. The victory kept the young Bulldog squad perfect on the season, improving their overall record to 5-0.

Colette Dragon (Spring Valley / Spring Valley, NY) led the way for BC with 10 kills, 5 aces and 5 digs, while classmate and team captain
Caitlin McMullen (Midwood / Brooklyn, NY) chipped in with 8 blocks and 2 aces.

Amanda Fiore (Susan E. Wagner / Staten Island, NY) continued her solid play on the year with match-highs of 15 assists and 6 aces, while only playing in two of the three sets.
Brooklyn fell behind 9-0 in the third set, but were led back by the serving of senior
Joan Wu (Long Island City / Long Island City, NY) and the excellent net play of freshman
Manon Bailly (Oakwood Friends / Harlem, NY).
Trailing 18-11, Wu served up six straight points for the Bulldogs, cutting the deficit to one, 18-17. Her team went on to outscore the Bears, 8-4 down the stretch to clinch the win for the undefeated BC Women.
"I am glad that Coach had faith in me to come in to serve and play a major role in the game," said an elated Wu after the match. "It feels great to take the win home, continuing our undefeated record of 5-0."
The team will have four days off before a big matchup against CUNYAC power and reigning conference champions The City College of New York on Tuesday. The match will begin at 7:00 pm in the West Quad Center.
