FDU Florham Hands Men's Soccer First Defeat Of Season

Box Score

Brooklyn, NY---It took the Brooklyn College Men's Soccer Team (2-1-1) four games to be handed their first defeat of the 2010 season, falling to the Devils of Farleigh Dickinson University Florham (3-4), 7-2 on Friday afternoon.

The Bulldogs could not handle the well-balanced attack of the Devils, yielding four first half goals, and an additional three in the second half, before responding with two of their own late in the game.

FDU's Josh Corpuz (Randolph / Randolph, NJ) had a remarkable game, scoring two goals and assisting on a third, to help his team to their third win of the season.

BC got a goal from Pajtim Gjonbalaj (FDR / Brooklyn, NY) in the 78th minute to get on the board.

Brooklyn's Mack Diller (Brooklyn Technical / Brooklyn, NY) then made a spectacular individual play, dribbling the ball up the left sideline over midfield, splitting two defenders and after entering the box, dishing a beautiful pass to Drilon Sahitaj (Brooklyn Studio / Brooklyn, NY) who put home the Bulldogs' second goal of the afternoon.

"FDU was the better team today," said Brooklyn Head Coach Rawle Hensford.  "We did not stick to our game plan.  Our approach was too individualized and not that of the team."

The team will be off this weekend but resume play on Monday as they host Centenary College at 4:00 pm, at Kingsborough College.
