Men’s Soccer Blanked by Centenary

Box Score

Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Soccer Team (2-2-1 fell to the Cyclones of Centenary College (3-4) earlier today by the score of 4-0. It was the Bulldogs second consecutive loss.

"Centenary was well organized and started the game well," said Head Coach Rawle Hensford.  " We adjusted and played well in the second half, however the first half lead was too much to overcome."

Centenary took control of the game right from the start, scoring just 2:52 into the game, as Daniel Berniz (Mount Olive / Budd Lake, NJ) took an Andrew Pinella (Manasquan / Brielle, NJ) pass and put it in the back of the net to give his team the 1-0 advantage.

The Cyclones would go on to score three more first-half goals, capped by an unassisted score from Pinella.  The  commanding 4-0 lead would be too much for BC to overcome.

Brooklyn keeper Stamatis Boundouris (Xaverian / Brooklyn, NY) had 7 saves in goal.

The Bulldogs are back in action this Wednesday, September 22nd, when Brooklyn will be on the road to take on the Bearcats of Baruch College in CUNYAC action. The game is scheduled for a 6:00 pm start.
