Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Swimming team dropped a non-conference meet to the visiting Panthers of Purchase College earlier today at the West Quad Center Pool by a score of 136-63. With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 1-5 overall on the season, while the Panthers improve to 4-3 overall on the year.
Junior Maxim Kravtsov had a strong day in the water for BC posting a first place finish in the 200-Yard IM with a time of 2:36.84, while later recording a second place finish in the 100-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:19.23.
Freshman

Aleks Goos also had solid showings posting a pair of second place finishes on the day. Yesin came in second in both the 200-Yard Freestyle (2:39.94) and the 100-Yard Backstroke (1:28.00), while Goos finished second in both the 50-Yard Freestyle (26.52) and the 100-Yard Freestyle (1:02.51).
Junior
Roman Vilnyanskiy had a second place finish in the 100-Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:18.50 and also a third place finish in the 50-Yard Freestyle with at time of 26.94. Sophomore
Patrick O'Leary-Gullo posted a pair of third place finishes in both the 1,000-Yard Freestyle (15:14.73) and the 500-Yard Freestyle (7:34.99).
Brooklyn will return to action on Tuesday, January 25th, as the Bulldogs will travel to Throggs Neck, NY to take on the Privateers of Maritime College. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm.
